If you're looking to install the OptiFine mod for Minecraft and you're running the Minecraft Forge mod already, the procedure is slightly different.

Select the OptiFine installation and click PLAY. To play the OptiFine version of Minecraft start the Minecraft Launcher and click the arrow left of the PLAY button.
